We’ve seen a lot of information coming out on how to use AI to make money. However, when you narrow things down to individual tools, ChatGPT is one of the tools that comes up most often. Can you use ChatGPT for affiliate marketing? Of course, you can, but you do need to know HOW to use it properly for maximum benefits.
How to Use ChatGPT for Affiliate Marketing
You can use ChatGPT to help you in every step of building your affiliate marketing empire. From analyzing your market and doing market research to selecting a niche, AI is there. ChatGPT can even help you build up a blog, video podcast, or social media marketing schedule.
Research Your Niche
Before you do anything else, you need to select a niche. Maybe you already have one, in which case, you can move forward easily and skip this section.
How does ChatGPT help you select a niche? You can ask it to give you ideas for general niches that do well in affiliate marketing. From there, you may begin to research the ones that interest you the most. For example, when I asked the AI to give me a list of the top 10 affiliate niches, it gave me the following:
From this list, I’ve chosen skincare as the topic I would like to pursue. A quick search shows that there are plenty of affiliate programs that are ideal for the skincare niche, so this could be a very good place to start. However, skincare in general is a very big niche and you certainly don’t want to try and cover it all. So, ChatGPT to the rescue.
Here’s the narrowed-down list that the AI spit out for me:
As you can see, this is narrowed somewhat, but now we need to focus on something very specific. For example, skincare tools might be a good place to start.
- Facial Cleansing Brushes
- Facial Rollers
- Facial Steamers
- LED Therapy Masks
- Microcurrent Devices
- Derma Rollers
- Facial Massagers
- Pore Extractors
These are the top options for skincare tools. You might want to focus more on skincare tools for something specific, like acne, anti-aging, or oily skin. This will give you the perfect niche for a site, social media marketing, etc.
So, with the help of ChatGPT, we now have a niche that we can work with.
Use ChatGPT to Analyze Your Target Market
The first step in creating a good marketing strategy is to figure out your target market. Who are they? What do they want? What problems do they have and how can you solve it?
When I asked ChatGPT to help me analyze the target audience for skincare tools for older women who want to look younger, it came up with the following information:
Obviously, you shouldn’t take everything AI says as is. You should take the time to research further and make sure you fully understand your market, using the AI information as a jumping-off point.
Select the Best Content Method
According to ChatGPT, “The best content marketing strategy for targeting older women seeking anti-aging skincare tools would involve a combination of informative, engaging, and visually appealing content.”
It suggested writing educational blog posts, videos on how to use the skincare tools, and social media, as well as before and after case studies. These all sound like they would resonate well with the target audience, so I don’t see a problem with this. Social media and videos are probably the easiest place to start, so we’ll focus on that for now.
Use ChatGPT to Help Create Affiliate Marketing Content
While ChatGPT can give you plenty of help with this, it’s time to bring in some extra aid. There’s a great add-on for ChatGPT called AIPRM that gives you a myriad of prompts right at your fingertips. You can install it and it will show up in your ChatGPT interface. From there, you can look for social media tools and click on one of them. They will then ask you for a keyword and output captions and image ideas for your Instagram, Facebook, etc.
Here’s what the first couple of post ideas looked like when I did this. I used a generic keyword “skincare tools for women who want to look younger” so it didn’t niche down. BUT, you can specify the exact tool and get a list of ideas for using that particular tool.
As you can see, this is a very powerful tool. At the click of a button, you can get a month’s worth of social media posts. Better yet? You can select your output language, so you’ll be able to reach a wider audience.
What about the videos? Well, AIPRM has prompts for that too! I found one for YouTube title ideas, another for generating hashtags, descriptions, etc. and some for scripts, as well. There’s even one for a 15 second Tiktok video. I decided to test it out and this is what it came up with:
[Video Tutorial Script: How to Use a Face Roller to Look Younger]
[Background Music: Upbeat and Energizing]
Host (Smiling): “Welcome back, beauties! Today, we’re diving into the world of face rollers and debunking the common myths. Ever wondered why face rollers work? Well, the secret lies in improved blood circulation and lymphatic drainage! But here’s an uncommon tip: instead of rolling upwards, go against the grain! Yep, that’s right. Roll downwards to give your facial muscles an unexpected workout. Remember, challenging traditions can sometimes lead to amazing results! Stay tuned for more beauty hacks!”

Nice and simple. You can use stock video footage or record your own, then do a voiceover on top of it. You may need to tweak some of the scripts, but the AI will give you a great starting point. Just ask it to do 10 video scripts on each tool, focusing on a slightly different feature each time and you’ll have more than enough content for the next few months.
Don’t Forget the Affiliate Links
Of course, all this publicity and hard work won’t do much if you haven’t added your affiliate link into the content you’re putting out. In most cases, you’ll need to put your affiliate link in your bio. However, on YouTube videos and blog posts, you can add them into the content.
ChatGPT can take an article and mark where to add your links, which makes it much easier to go through even older articles and put in your link. It can also generate the video description, along with the links you want to share. While AI won’t do all the hard work for you, it certainly makes everything ten times faster and easier.
Can I Use ChatGPT for Affiliate Marketing?
You absolutely can and probably should use ChatGPT for your affiliate marketing. I guarantee other people are already jumping on this bandwagon, so if you want to keep up with the competition, you need to make sure you’re right there with them. AI is a very powerful tool for business and if your business is affiliate marketing, it can be put to good use.
