How to Use ChatGPT to Make Money

Artificial intelligence is here to stay, but the big question, how are you going to use it? Are you going to piddle about, asking ChatGPT to tell you jokes or finding out what it “thinks” about zombies, or are you going to learn how to use ChatGPT to make money?

Not surprisingly, there are some really amazing opportunities right now to make serious money using ChatGPT, and it’s not necessarily what you might expect. Forget about the idea of just posting jobs on Fiverr and fulfilling them with AI. That’s NOT a good way to make money and Fiverr is already glutted with people trying to do just that.

In this article, we’re going to look at exactly how you can use ChatGPT to make money, for real.

You Can Make Money with ChatGPT

Making money with ChatGPT is going to require some upfront work, but it does streamline processes. It’s also much easier to get started with the AI helping you. Some ways to earn money with ChatGPT include selling video scripts, offering email marketing services, building your own website, or creating apps for companies. The better you are at prompting and getting ChatGPT to do what you want, the better you’ll do in the world of making money with AI.

Selling Services to Businesses

One of the most powerful options for making money with AI is to sell services. This is still a great way to go because first of all, we’re still at the beginning of the AI revolution. There are always some early innovators who leap on new technology immediately and make it work for them. These are not your clients.

As the new tech becomes more commonplace, most other businesses will follow suit and join the tech wave. However, there are always those who are reluctant or even fully against using the new tech, which means they will prefer the original methods. Again, these are probably not your customers. They’ll take too long to convince that they should use your services. However, the big glut of companies in the middle who want to join in on the future, but aren’t quite sure how to do so, are the perfect clients.

Here are some ideas to sell to these businesses (and I recommend going to the businesses, rather than wasting time on Fiverr and Upwork).

Social Media Management

Social media is and will likely be a key to business success for many decades to come. It’s also fairly low cost, but most businesses struggle with trying to post regularly. They don’t know what to post, or they aren’t getting the responses they want. They may also find that consistency is lacking. That’s where you come in.

Social media management is not a new concept, but ChatGPT makes it incredibly simple. You can use the AI to create a comprehensive social media schedule across multiple platforms. It will even give you ideas for the images or videos to post, along with hashtags, emojis, and more. ChatGPT knows all about Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok, so it can easily create catchy descriptions and posts to add. All you need to do is schedule everything for your client.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is still very much alive and if you use ChatGPT, you can create some very dynamic email marketing campaigns. Guess what? Companies pay for this!

It does require that you know what you’re doing with email marketing, so I would suggest studying up on that if you haven’t already. Learn everything you can, then use ChatGPT to make some dollars.

Content Creation

Yes, I said to stay away from Fiverr and Upwork, but that doesn’t mean you can’t offer content creation services. Businesses still need content and if you go straight to them and offer your services, you can still get some excellent gigs from this.

Here’s what I suggest doing. First, create a page so you can showcase what you do. Then have ChatGPT compile a list of business types and do a search on Google for those businesses. The best way I’ve found to do this is to go by city. So let’s say you’re going to target plumbing companies. You would look for “plumbing companies in New York City” to start with. Go through the listings and make note of any that do not post regularly on their blogs.

Now, contact these people (hey, ChatGPT can help you write a proposal letter, too!) and offer your services as a blog content creator. I don’t recommend hiding the fact you’re using AI, but here’s where you can boost your value and credibility. Let them know that you only provide “human edited AI content.” This ensures the work you put out is high quality.

Now you just need to set a price and start creating content. You can either offer blog packages of a certain number of blog posts a month, or you can offer complete services where you actually post on their blog and include images, links, etc.

Video Scripts

More and more people and businesses are getting on YouTube and even Tiktok. Why not help them out with video scripts generated by AI? The trick to this is to learn the prompts to create truly awesome video scripts. Anyone can type in “Give me a video script for ____.” You want your product to stand out.

To get people’s attention, you might want to create your own videos, showcasing the amazing scripts you can build. These will help people see what is available and when they realize they can’t generate the same sort of thing, they’ll quickly want to work with you.

Ad Copy

Ads are another huge business opportunity. Copywriters (like myself) have been making money for years by creating highly relevant ad copy that converts. Now you can use ChatGPT to do this. Again, it’s not quite as simple as “Hey, ChatGPT, write me an ad.” You need to know what results you want and how to get them. Your expertise can really help AI turn out the best possible ad copy.

Now, you can just provide ad copy, or you can build a full business around advertising and manage company ad accounts, as well. The choice is yours.

ChatBots

Did you know that anyone with a chatbot on their site needs to train it? The bot is all but useless unless it can answer questions about the company, so it has to be fed the right information. This isn’t necessarily difficult, but it tends not to be something the average business owner knows how to do. That’s where you come in, with all your familiarity with ChatGPT.

However, don’t stop with training the chatbot . . . why not create it in the first place? You can use ChatGPT’s API to build your own chatbots and install them onto company websites, train them, and maintain the training up to date. It’s the type of work that will be needed more and more often in the near future.

Landing Pages

Once a company has an ad campaign or a social media campaign rolling, they need to send people to a page that sells . . . a landing page. As with ad copy, this needs to be persuasive and there’s a specific way to write it. Fortunately, with ChatGPT, you have the perfect way to make great landing pages and earn some serious money.

The landing page generally includes information on the product, but it also has some images. If you can provide all of this to a company, they’ll pay well.

Apps

Why not create an app that can be used for a company to build leads? Once you have the basic app, whatever it may be (a calculator of some sort, a name generator, idea generator, etc.), you can repurpose it for multiple companies.

A recent example I saw was a loyalty points app. The app could be tailored to whatever business you wanted and it would allow customers to scan a QR code and start accumulating points with their purchases. With just one app, you could easily provide tailored options for dozens or even hundreds of businesses. ChatGPT can be used to create the code and you just have to go from there.

Training and Courses

People are just getting started in AI and that means there’s a huge opportunity to teach them about it. If you have some experience under your belt, you can start a training service one-on-one or a course. This course can teach people how to implement AI resources into their business.

Fun fact, ChatGPT is great at creating a course outline adn even helping you build out the modules. However, you can also offer full coaching services in AI, if you feel comfortable doing that. Or, you can build up a following via YouTube videos and then convert them into paying students via a course, or Patreon.

Consultation Services

Are you really good at AI and implementing it into all areas of your business? Why not provide consulting services to other businesses? You can generate a worksheet where you let them know exactly how they can streamline their business and save time and money by integrating AI. This wouldn’t be strictly ChatGPT, of course, but building on all areas of AI.

This is the perfect business for those companies in the middle who are slowly moving into the revolution, but aren’t sure exactly how to implement AI into their business. You can give them ideas, get them started, and speed up all their processes.

Here are a few more ideas that can get you started on making money with ChatGPT.

Build Your Own Income with ChatGPT

There are so many ways to earn serious money with ChatGPT. As you’ve seen, you can provide so many services to companies . . . but this is just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll be doing a second part to this post soon, with other ways you can earn aside from providing services to businesses.

AI has opened up so many opportunities and it would be silly not to jump on the bandwagon. After all, you can make a lot of money! If you’re interested in reading another post on how to use ChatGPT to make money, let me know in the comments.
